Spring has finally arrived! I had an idea for images I wanted to take, but because of the lack of extra hands, I rethinked my original idea and decided we’d go to the nearby forest with Nora. Two persons can handle taking pictures with fixed focal length lens, adjusting a huge reflector and at the same time handle the dogs? Right?
I do admit it wasn’t easy, and my core muscles were in use; trying to lean backwards, holding steady, at the same time adjusting and holding the reflector with my leg, trying to get the littlest dog to fit in the frame while she was jumping all over the place like a circus dog.. So comparing to that, we should be happy of the results we got :)..
I’ve been going for walks in this forest for a long time and I’ve always wanted to test it as a photography site. From what I got during this trip – I’ll be using the place again.
It was really nice to get some pictures of my dear old Lady Helmi, she usually makes a very stupid face and pose when someone else is trying to get her attention and I’m photographing her, but fortunately we still managed to get few nice shots while Nora was waving a stick to get her attention :D.
Thank you so much Nora, for all your help, and that I could loan your beautiful dogs for these shots <3.
Earlier this year I got the chance of testing a new thing in photography for me. I had a vision of an image, but the surroundings (mainly the sun) didn’t really co-operate with the original thought. So instead of it, I started to play with the sunset generated backlightning and my flashes.
Bouldering seems to be a easy thing to do when you watch it from a video or stare at the photographs, but really it’s a Sport. Lifting your body in hard angles alongside the boulders is hard work, even you aren’t climbing a mountain. Without any tools, just with your hands and feet, it requires strength and perseverance.
I really enjoyed this one and I hope I’m invited to try this kind of photography again in the future. There’s no lack of ideas :).[ Click here for the full gallery ]
My computer gave up somewhere around February-March and I’ve been without working computer ever since. It kinda feels like losing an arm – you cannot really fully do what you love. And when you want to do it. It has made my To-do -queue a bit too overwhelming, so I apologize to all my friends who are anxiously waiting for their pictures :).
To the post in hand then – on Sunday I was working in our Team’s IPO1-3&BH trial, and fortunately decided to take my camera with me – I was supposed only to work in the cantina, but as I was the only one with a camera, I slipped away for some time to take these.
Spring is clearly here, and the light, trees, grass, everything was super beautiful.
All participants were successful in this trial, so congrats to all :).
