Today was a fun day, even though the weather in Finland is pretty depressing – warm, wet and the well-waited snow is melting away.
I got to meet search and rescue dog Vinski, who is soon to be certified search and rescue dog. During our short photo shoot I got the chance to help Heidi and Vinski in their training. I hide to the woods and waited Vinski to find me. After he found me – he ran back to Heidi, barked at her, and then led Heidi to me by running back to me and then to Heidi, until Heidi reached me.
This year I’ll continue photographing Search & Rescue dogs.
I have utmost respect for them and their handlers because of the valuable work they do for us – without them many lost persons wouldn’t have been found in time. They save lives.
